Soko G-4 Aerial Transport Competition
This is the ultimate test of Phun/Algodoo aerial skills! In this contest, you must transport 2 unfinished Soko G-4s (with a combined weight of about 11,000kg) from one runway/helipad to another. You will probably need a super-heavy transport plane/helicopter, such as an Antonov An-225, or a Mil Mi-26.
Rules:
You can carry one at a time, if necessary
You can have either plane or helicopter
You can make up your own aircraft
Your aircraft must fit within one of the two red boxes (exluding rotors for helicopters)
You must be able to take-off and land on the helipads/runways provided
The Sokos do not have to be in the aircraft to be transported (e.g. a chord could be attached to the bottom of a helicopter)
Your aircraft cannot be powered by geometry controllers alone
Textures are allowed
Marking Criteria:
?/30 Does your aircraft complete the objective successfully?
?/10 Are the Sokos damaged in/after flight?
?/10 Does your aircraft fit in the red boxes?
?/20 Is you aircraft creative/practical?
?/10 Can your aircraft take-off and land on the helipad/runway successfully?
?/10 How good is the flight engine used? (Points deducted for geometry controllers alone)
?/10 Can your aircraft easily clear the mountains/cities?
Total: ?/100

This contest isn't 'taking off', so to speak.

Probably because it is hard for most users.
Hehe, Hard.

Re: Soko G-4 Aerial Transport Competition
It isn't that hard, most user could just build their helicopter/plane (easy) then attach an engine someone else has made(easy), e.g. Kilinich's helicopter/plane engines.

Maybe because only a few have seen it? It's only been a day.

Perhaps. But it has been viewed 52 times. I would expect that more than just one person (Under Ground) would've replied by now if there wasn't something they didn't like about the contest.

I think it's not "Taking off" because why would you load two planes into something, just to fly them to another place.. FLY the DAMN PLANES!

Maybe they're broken? Or the creator was too lazy to add engines?

If you would read the desc. it says they are 'unfinished'. I suppose I meant for them to be transported to somewhere else to be completed.
Besides, there'd be bloody no contest if you could just fly them.

It's a background for the contest. Smart-asses.
I'll try to enter this contest, if I can actually make anything in Algodoo fly.

Kilinich's K-wing works very well. If you need help tuning it I can help you. As for a helicopter, you could use a density engine which is very easy to make, or an engine someone else made.

I don't want to use scripting.

How do you expect to fly without scripting?

Air friction motors and some other old tech. Most likely.

Well, yes, but then you would completely destroy the airplanes you are transporting. Not to mention you have to transport them 5+ kms.
