Re: Engine Strength Contest (tractor pull)
I've two questions:
1. can I remove the collision group G from the ground? ( for realism with my tires )
2. Is there any way to weigh my tractor?

Edit: Almost done my tractor. It's a rough model of a John Deere Model R. It is running a positive length-positive damping spring engine ( that is allowed, isn't it? ) and it seems to pull the trailor with ease.
Only thing is that the sim.frequency must be around 500 or up to keep the engine from spinning itself to peices.
Just doing a test run now. Waiting for it to get to the end of the strip.
( sudden stop to the engine will pull the tractor off the ground. @_@ )

I found a Huge Problem, most entries hold the frictiony part of the trailer off the ground so it never resist moving foward!

Also, that is why diodes exist. I think. ...right?
Was that what you meant?
But that was relatively rude, so it could be summarized in a most convenient sentence, which the people who inhabit these forums will be most pleased to repeat to you: Don't bump.
For any admins reading this: I suggest that there should be a feature in the forums that will not allow new users to post on old topics until they have been online at least "X" amount of time...
I hope that this will be locked, it's been bumped too many times.

oh, and don't forget to make use of that piece of information.
Basically, there are only 10 types of people in the world. Those who know binary, and those who don't.

I love how no one here knows what a spambot is. Just because it isn't advertising anything doesn't mean it isn't a spambot.

Re: Engine Strength Contest (tractor pull)
well i got a tatra that might beat most things out there and maybe everything. the tatra weight 10709 kg and it pulls a 42836 kg weight behind, thats 4 times the weight of the truck. that is better than everything out there if im correct. Also, in can go up a nice degree of a ramp then some major bumps.
