Re: Clockmaking Contest
If you've already marked them then posting the scores should be the easy part
Me thinks you haven't even marked them yet.

Re: Clockmaking Contest
Alright, I finally got it done.
-Mr_Stabby-
Clock Type: A wall clock. 1 point.
Creative Mechanism: Pendulum. I really liked it. 4 points.
Size: It was kinda big. 2 points.
Scripting: I saw none. No points lost.
Detail: It was pretty sweet looking. I do have some complaints, though. I didn't really like the textures you used, and I really dislike the fact that you can't see the bar on the the pendulum connecting it to the clock. Half off for using textures. 3 points.
Lag: I didn't get any. 100 points.
Synchronization: It was two seconds off. 2 points lost.
Bonus: I can't really say what, but there was certain things I liked about it, mostly the pendulum. 12 points.
TOTAL: 122 points.
Note: You should really set it up so all the hands are pointing at 12. It makes it a lot easier to score.
-davidz40-
Clock Type: It looks like a regular wall clock. 1 point.
Creative Mechanism: It seemed rather simple, but I like the way the blue 'gear' worked to move the clock. 3 points.
Size: 8 meters seems a little... large for a wall clock (even larger for a watch, as the scene was named, but it looks more like a wall clock, so I'll base it on that). 2 points.
Scripting: I saw none. No points lost.
Detail: It looks nice, but the gears you can see kind of make it look bad. Also, the outer blue circle was a little off-center. You also used textures, so half off. 5 points.
Lag: I only get a very small amount of lag when I'm examining the gears close up. 100 points.
Synchronization: Rounded and averaged, your clock was perfectly synced. No points lost.
Bonus: I like the way the second hand looks. 10 points.
TOTAL: 121 points.
-cellers-
Clock Type: Hmm... I really don't know. I guess I'll just call it a desk clock? 2 points.
Creative Mechanism: That was a lot of 'gears.' It was kinda cool watching them all spin. 5 points.
Size: ... Holy shit. 386 meters. 0 points.
Scripting: I saw none. No points lost.
Detail: The whole clock was pretty awesome. 8 points.
Lag: I got small spikes of lag every second. It was always at 100%, but on those spikes it went down to about 6%, but only for a fraction of a second. It probably had something to do with the size. 99 points.
Synchronization: Rounded and averaged, your clock was perfectly synced. No points lost.
Bonus: I doubt you knew this, but I love steampunk, so this clock was pretty badass. 25 points.
TOTAL: 139 points.
-Dakta-
Clock Type: A wall clock with a pendulum. 4 points.
Creative Mechanism: Pendulum. It was a really realistic one, too. 6 points.
Size: It was kinda big. 2 points.
Scripting: I saw none. No points lost.
Detail: It looked nice, but I don't like the fact that you can see all the guts. Half off for textures 2 points.
Lag: I didn't get any. 100 points.
Synchronization: Twelve seconds off on average. 12 points lost.
Bonus: I liked the whole idea of it, but it could've been presented better. 8 points.
TOTAL: 110 points.
Note: You're lucky I'm even accepting this. It breaks the 'three hands' and 'must be encased' rule. You worked hard on it, though, so I'll give you a break.
1st: cellers, with 139 points.
2nd: Mr_Stabby, with 122
3rd: davidz40, with 121
Sorry, Dakta, but ya lost.

Chronos, You missed updated version of my clock with no textures and almost real size. I should have put it on first post
I must say that celler's clock proportions are... epic.

Re: Clockmaking Contest
Like I said, I was only counting the clock with a higher score, which is why you both only have one entry judged.

Re: Clockmaking Contest
So... if it was a one entry contest I would have won? Nice...
And yeah, I know about all my clock's flaws. I have been thinking about how I could fix them, and have come to realize that my clock needs a lot of work before it's ready for the world.
And on that note, I dive back into clock construction! Remind me to release a final version, with hopefully no lag.

Re: Clockmaking Contest
Why the textureless clock got less score since it's the same but no textures and more realistic size?

Re: Clockmaking Contest
I think the size change caused problems for me. It kept getting desynchronized, causing it to lose a lot of points in that category.
