Torpedo Contest

Postby The mask » Sun Jan 24, 2010 10:43 pm

Explanation:
This contest is to make a torpedo that collides with the orange tower and destroys it.

There will be three categories:
~ Scripted Torpedo
~ Non-scripted Torpedo

*EDIT*The launcher must fit in the submarine.

Laggy Computers rules
The torpedo body must have 2.000 friction
It must collide with groups A and F
Min weight 75 Kg
You can't change the torpedo's attraction
You are allowed to use scripting

Judging:
Power(40/100)How powerful is the torpedo
Creativity(20/100)What kind of system or mechanism is used. Scripting is in this part if used.

I wanted to enter, but that amout of water is super laggy on my pc
How about using opaque blue box as water, making a bottom plane with some unused collision group and then:
-torpedoes need to repel that plane to simulate floating in water
-they need to have air friction mult of some thousands

The one without the water is.

by the way , we gotta make a torpedo which colides with A and F , however the submarine also is A.
so how are you suposed to get the torpedo on/in the submarine?

What do you mean with behaving weird? What does it do?

About collision groups you can just select both objects and tick on "No selfcollision" in collision menu.
