Fuel Powered Engine Contest.

Fuel Powered Engine Contest.
This is my second contest I'm planning to do, and I hope that this one gets a bit more entries than my previous one.
Contest:
The idea is to make an engine that runs on a fuel I supplied. The fuel is a circle which will expand when it is hit by a laser (for a demo see contest scene). As far as I know off nobody has ever made an engine with this kind of fuel.
Rules:
1. Thyme is only allowed for activating a laser/lasers.
2. No killer objects except for the outlining of the building area.
3. The engine must fit in the building area.
4. The fuel I supplied should be the only energy source.
5. No loopholing.
6. No editing the fuel in anyway (not the scripting, size or collision groups).
If u are not sure if something is allowed or not; ask it here.
Grading:
1. Lifetime (how long does you're engine run before breaking down)
2. Mechanics (does you're engine include impressive mechanics)
3. Speed
Scene:
The deadline for this contest is the 28th of December.
Edit:
As you may have noticed the fuel I supplied "ignites" when it touches a black object. So I am allowing all thyme scripts that change color. This way it is easier to make an igniting system and the handling of the fuel in you're engine.
Leaderboard:
1: Mr.Stabby
Lifetime: 10/10; Mechanics: 6/10; Speed: 7/10; TOTAL: 7.6/10

Re: Fuel Powered Engine Contest.
Great idea. But the circles are too small (or box is too big) because hundreds (if not thousands) of them are needed to run the engine, and that causes huge lags

Re: Fuel Powered Engine Contest.
Do u have any suggestions on how to improve this contest. Like how big should the black spawned circles be or the area in which u can build you're engine. I would love to see someone entering this contest. I tried making an engine myself with this type of alternative fuel, but I didn't succeed.
P.S: U are allowed to use all sizes within the box, I don't care if you're engine is 1/100th of the area of the box. As long as it works.

Re: Fuel Powered Engine Contest.
first thing that came to mind
you can let it start by itself (takes a while) or you can give it a kick via the flywheel
PS! total power output of the flywheel is a pointless measurement on this type of fuel as expansion has unlimited torque in phun so i could just make the flywheel heavyer and clone the engine a bunch of times

I graded you're contest entry, It is the first entry so It's the best ATM. Mechanics were OK, but once in a while the intake stroke doesn't work. And speed is Ok aswell.

I`ll give it a try, have already practiced a bit with building combustion engines
EDIT: didn`t make the deadline

Re: Fuel Powered Engine Contest.
Although a nice idea. I can't let you enter in my contest, because U have broken a few of my rules.
1. Thyme is only allowed for activating a laser/lasers. (Ur using thyme for spawning)
2. No killer objects except for the outlining of the building area. (U use a killer to get rid of the waste balls)
4. The fuel I supplied should be the only energy source. (Ur just spawning)
So I cannot let someone enter who breaks about every rule I supplied. Nice try though

yes, generally, it's a good idea to follow the rules.
