yea, you're probably right on the recovery thing - batteries would charge very little anyways
Also, I found a bug - when a motor has, say, 300v and it runs at high angVel and low torque, it spins for one step, then brakes, then spins again, and the efficiency flickers from 0% to 99%. I can avoid that but I guess you'd like to know

P.S: No radius/pos/angle/vel/angvel modification and Any scripts for suspension/transmission/controls contradict themselves - are we allowed to make radius-changing gearboxes, with a script to keep mass constant?

Rules updated - allow to switch CCW of motors via script. :geek: :!:

Yes, I notice that flicker too, could be solved with high inertiaMultiplier but not difference of energy consumption not that much.

No - you could not change radius. Fixed gears only.

With the battery placement remapped, gearbox ratio changed and revamped smart launch system, I unofficially smoked pnvv

I hope we don't change any battery parts because I don't like constantly unloading motors and batteries just to be replaced with an updated motors and batteries.
Plus, I don't know why adding more voltage (series connection) than adding more current (parallel connection) gives more torque rather than speed.
I think adding voltage gives more speed, and adding current gives more power. Doesn't real life electricity works like that?

No, there is no necessary to replace anything, only rules was updated.

In real life motors works near the same way. If you fix motor shaft, torque and current will be proportional to voltage. Speed is result of torque, voltage is key parameter here. That scriped motor has torque and current limiter, so won't give more than designed.

Can I connect the battery perpendicularly, as long only one battery is connected?

Sure you can. Any topology. Any angle. Just don't overlap.

I'm done 8-)
Spoiler: show
if you want to enable offroad tires, press 'T' a few times until a bright grey gear strip is visible around the wheels.
I may wanna make an indicator for it, so it's easier to know if offroad tires are enabled or not.

So here are my to-do list:
@ Engine activation indicator
@ Offroad tires indicator
@ Battery life indicator

For those who are wondering, I've decided to not going to enter this contest. I just can't spare any time and dedication to this contest (and game).

I know I'm incredibly late for the party. I originally skipped over this contest because I thought you needed to know how to script but it turns out the pieces are provided.

The contest is over but these still look like fun to play around with. I'm going to start tinkering. ;)

I might rebuild my old entry because it's kind of on the heavy side. That said we probably won't have new entries any time soon

I've created a DC-DC Boost Converter with some help and advice from The Linkage!
This component is free to use for everyone!
