Power contest II

I tried this already, and I think the rules were too loose, because people started exploiting the rules and building million-hp-per-kg engines xD

Revised rules...

-Must be spawn type
-Must give output through rotative motion (no turbines or rockets)
-Max size 2x2 m
-Max weight 1000kg, but spawned objects do count!
-May use onLaser or onCollide scripts to spawn geoms.
-Spawned particles must fit in the cylinder
-A maximum of one geom for every piston on it's power stroke is allowed. (What I mean by this is you may have an unlimited amount of pistons but each one may only have a max of one geom acting on it at any time)
-No rotaries!!!!! If you were to build a rotary which does not have a fixed chamber size half the above rules would be rendered invalid.
-Engine may not be glued directly to the background. You must use springs, hinges, ect to attach it to the background.
-Max inertiamultiplier 2.
-Must run at 140 hz

Scoring

Like the other contest only one category is scored, power vs weight. The higher this ratio is, the better you do!

This will use the same base scene as last time, although previous entries do not apply.

I'd rather you add weight limt, because algodoo inaccuracy with big numbers. It't not a problem make torque so big to slip +inf brake.
And again, how will you measure power?

OK, added max weight.

I will measure power by making a brake on a separate circle driven by the engine. Basically what I mean is I'll do the same thing that you did in your scene.

If you make a new "Power Contest II" scene, then it will start out with no scene responses and it will be more current. The original Power Contest scene is about 450 scenes back from the newest scene.

If you count spawned geom now, why limit it's quality per cylinder?

It prevents people from building ridiculous engines like last time. Because if you have infinite torque than the contest has no meaning :)

Also, your entry fits all the criteria, but I judge by horsepower. You still got in though :D

You couldn't gain such profit from it since it cost you more weight.

I know, low torque, but it weights less.

And I thought this contest was long dead lol.

Fits all criteria! But I found it stalled at 0.12 nm so I had to lower it to 0.1, which it consistently gave at 30 rad/s, so around 0.004 hp. Weight is 0.37kg so ~0.01 hp/kg?

Can I update the engine for the better ones?

According to my calculation, it should be around 1,8190903130581803407601572739187 HP/kg (taken from the average of 5 different angular velocity multiplied by the torque brake, converted into horsepower, and divided by it's mass). I still couldn't beat Kilinich though. :(

I can't test it now. The PC im using right now is too old to run algodoo without massive lag!

Is postStep script allowed? (to make a wheel that rotates only 1 way, in this contest)

It said no rotaries, and unfortunately a turbine counts as a rotary. So no. :(
