Machine Gun

Postby rockerkid10 » Tue Sep 08, 2009 12:47 am

Hey guys, good news: I joined the new forum!
Bad news: Im not buying algoodo, just for the fact that i think it should be free.

But im continuing to use the free beta provided at phunland.com

Anywho, I thought this was an amazing tutorial(yes it is mine) and decided to bring it over for all the newcomeres.

Step1: Make two decent sized circles, one above the other but still close together

Step2: Add centered hinges to them

Step3: Make both hinges motors, then make the bottom circle reversed

Step4: make both have a speed of 600 and strength inf+

Step5: make a downhill slope behind the 2 circles and fixate it

Step6: make a tiny ball thatweighs 200kg

Step7: clone ballbunch of times

Step8: Have phun!

Pretty basic and easy to do. It was the first machine gun I made. If you want to make this tutorial better, I would suggest pictures, or a video, and an example scene. for the effort though :)

Although this is a very simple gun, I'll credit you for trying. You might also want to learn more guns systems on sites like howstuffworks or others. And a set of pictures would really do you good ;)

But,

Urgh at algodoo being free comment. why should it be free? give a good reason we should get algodoo for free.

The only reason half the games out there on the net are free is because they are stuffed to the hilt with advertising, i'd hate to load algodoo and get a splash screen telling me to buy orange's new phone contract, like msn does. (those pop out adverts urgh!)

on the tutorial nice and simple idea i didn't come up with infairness. Try it with blocks and make an arm on a crank to automaticly feed them in I reckon, so it'll work at any angle.

No, as there is no such thing as real electricity in Algodoo. Sorry :(

Technically it does, as stun guns rely on electricity to immobilize threats.

Doesn't mean you can't script it to do that.

You can't script everything. I think it would be very hard to script electricity.
