Pivot, you're a genius! You made a perpetuum mobile in Algodoo. That must mean its Engine is flawed. Submit this as a bug to Emil ASAP.

I would have thought this was already fixed. This is like blowing into the sails of your own sailboat. GENIOUS.

Hey, Chronos. Lay off. He descovered a bug. HE cares. I care. People who want to use this for education care. Others might care. And if you hate the double posts, so do I.

You realize this has actually been done before, in Phun 5. It's not new. Really, I doubt it can be fixed, since hinged geometries aren't the same object as the fixated ones. If it could be fixed, it would take a while. It's not new, and since it is technically abusing a bug, it's not very fun.

Fun were the days of beta 5, where scripting was made easily accessible to the general public. As much as I dislike scripting, it was still fun to see what wacky ideas people would come up with.

Fun were the days of beta 3 and 4, where they whole rocket race began, where everyone was trying to make the best ones. The best ones, in my opinion, were the ones that didn't abuse bugs. There weren't very many, sure, but the ones that were there were still great.

Hell, if I'm going even further back, fun were the days of the old file uploading site, before Phunbox. With its demanding size limits, it was awesome to see what people could do without using many objects (or just about any polygons).

Even Algodoo is fun, with all the new features, and how we find ways to use them for loads of different purposes.

Sure, glitches can be fun at times, but they lack that sense of accomplishment, saying, "Hey! I did that and I didn't break any rules! It took a while to make sure it was as bug-free as possible, but now that it's done, I have something to feel great about, until my next creation, at least!"

That's why I don't like glitch abuse. Sure, I'm fine with it if you're just screwing around, like circle stacking and other glitches where they have no actual use. Just a fun toy that didn't help you in any way. But this glitch (I suppose it's not much of a glitch as it is a workaround, which isn't just breaking the system, it's basically hacking into it) isn't fun. You've made something that wasn't intended to be made. Eventually, when this does get fixed, it won't work, whereas all the air friction engines, and engines like Rara's hoverplank thingy will still work.

I have to admit, I have been slightly harsh on you lately, and I apologize. I'm just bored, to be honest. I probably won't stop, but I suppose I'll lighten up a little. Really, this scene isn't all that bad, and it can be useful, I suppose (though it isn't very practical, from what I've seen). I just, as I've said above, don't like glitch abuse. Try something that doesn't involve glitching Algodoo, and you might be a little more respected by myself (and a few other people I know who hate glitch abuse, too).

Ok, did I seriously just write all of that for one thing? Damn, I need a life...

No, I think it shuld be fixed, but Chronos said that people already saw this glitch and know of it. Allright. Topic closed. If we need to, tell Emilk, otherwise, just have fun. Chronos, I apologise for what I said. I agree with almost everything you said. BTW congrats on breaking 3000 posts.

pivot, this could be done in real life if you had two objects that switch having attraction and not having attraction. I actually tried to make a real maglev off this principal, but failed. good luck. :)
