Precision space reactor.

Postby oriol1993 » Sun May 22, 2011 1:48 pm

I would like to know how to create a precision force in an object in Algodoo, like a reactor of a spaceship. I want to be able to control the magnitude with thyme, for example 3N, or acceleration would be great too.
The force should be in the direction of the motor.

Thanks very much! Ask if there was any doubt!

Are you able to use the new 1.9.4 beta?

If so, you can use a thruster. With a little Thyme.

  • 1. Put a thruster on a box.
  • 2. Open the console with ~ or F11.
  • 3. Type scene.my.force = 0.
  • 4. Close the console.
  • 5. Select the thruster, Context menu, Script menu, in the force spot, type {scene.my.force}.
  • 6. On another box off to the side, fixated to the background, in the script menu, in onCollide, type (e)=>{scene.my.force = 200000}.
  • 7. Place something above the box.
  • 8. Start the sim.
  • 9. The something should fall on the box, and in that instant the thruster should turn on. Really hard.
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.
I love my brain...

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

Fantastic :) I didn't know about this new feature, that's exactly what I needed.

Thanks a lot!
