controllerAcc is short for Controller Acceleration, that is, how much speed the Geometry Controller adds when its keys are pressed. This acceleration is in m/s^2

Yeaaah, eeeeeerm... This top died... like 4 years ago!

Also, the OP was referring to the value in the script window as it was used a lot back then, it was just used it as a way to store data in objects before serialisable variables was introduced.
