Scripting - Gear Box
Hi, I am a new Algodoo user.
I try to create a gear box, with 4 gears. These 4 gears are not moving. They are moving when they collide with a motor gear.
How can I put script to gears.
If someone have another idea how to create a gear box, would be very helpfull

There are many ways to do it , dont know what you exactly want
My way is to shift the collideset of a clutch with lasers into the collideset of each gear
(the way like in my scene). For cars it is a very solid built kind.
(As a further suggestion: I updated my example scene to show that an automatic transmission is possible this way ,too.

Do you know how to change values with lasers and stuff like that?

Re: Scripting - Gear Box
I made this a while ago for a tutorial of pretty much this same type. I realize there are some minor adjustments to the controls that could be made to vastly increase usability.
Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.
