Peripetual motion

Postby korry » Sat Jan 16, 2010 6:32 pm

Have you any ideas to made phunlet about peripetual motion? I try some clasic cases, but if is here somebody, who helps me with it, I will be happy.
I want to show, that if the engine will move (in an ideal case without friction and air resistance) it will be slowed down when is used to take an energy from it. Because students usually says "But if isn´t friction, the perpetuum mobile is possible machine" and I want to show, that perpetuum mobile isn´t about technique, but about Law of energy conservation.

None of them worked.

I know, there isn´t any functional perpetuum mobile (PM). I ask others, if they have an another idea to made PeM or if somebody have idea to create fake PM.

there where a lot of perpetual mobiles ages ago.
some of them used an object overlapping a hinged circle taking abuse of a collision glitch.

Make a hollow ring, and put a circle inside of it. Make the circle have an attraction of 1 and above. It's hard to control though.

Make a circle and attach 2 attractive circles across from one another, one fixated, one hinged.

Or just get a circle and a hinge, theoretically, it should work.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beggining and the end.

create a circle and se its airfriction and friction to -1, done

Did I not just say that? And theoretically usually means (under my standards) not on earth, in a theoretical place with no [air]friction, like space.
I am Alpha and Omega, the beggining and the end.

Haha I like your Idea Best, Fujitsu... How did you ever think of that? I also like your idea, RicH.

that would create energy which is not perpetual motion, perpetual motion means 100% energy efficiency in a device that reuses it over and over

StephenAlverez wrote:Did I not just say that?

not mentioning the airfriction would make it just another non-perpetual thingy, also due to the nature of algodoo hinges actually dampen anything they rotate ever so slightly which again is a non-perpetual trait

PS! space has friction too, when dealing with absolutes theres no room for "almost"
