look into log file.
remove all old .cfg files.

You didnt provide any information for us to help you.
I told you - what do you see in algodoo.log file? Its in user/documents/algodoo folder.
Also, if you see config.cfg there - remove it.
Delete onexitsave.phz

And it just crash, no wellcome screen?

Looks like yours cut on background int. Do you have last version video drivers? Is other openGL games works?

That could be hardware problem (like RAM module error). Check your mem with windows tool or other way.

So, I get the "Algodoo.exe has stopped working" message the very first time I start it up. I get the splash screen and then the error message.

There are no configuration files to remove as the application has not yet started correctly. I have a Dell XPS 12 Ultrabook running Windows 8.1 with and i5 processor and 8 GB of memory. I have updated all the graphics drivers straight from Intel.

Any ideas?

unistall app,
clear C:\Program Files (x86)\Algodoo folder
clear %documents%\Algodoo\ folder
install app
Dream of Algodoo as game development engine...
