OnCollide Water Spawning...
I found the common code online for the water spawn on collide.... and an interesting thing happens once I use that... Water bounces all over the place like its been rubberized or something..... Even making a block and liquifying it, it explodes like crazy Doesnt do that till after I spawn water with the oncollied scripting.
Has this happened to anyone else? If so how did/can you fix it?

Re: OnCollide Water Spawning...
the water spawn code. my psychic powers tell me that your code is changing some SPH variables, probably viscosity, but I'm frequently wrong, and we'd like to see what it's doing

Re: OnCollide Water Spawning...
- Code: Select all
version := 1
Try adding that into the Scene.AddWater functions arguments, that should solve the issue as long as you're not changing any sph. variables in your code.

Re: OnCollide Water Spawning...
What's the difference between the different water "versions"? I did some experimenting and found that if I spawn water set to version 1, then it acts like normal Algodoo water. But if I set the version to 0 (zero) then the water acts like it has a high restitution value (I know that water does not have a restitution value, but I'm just saying that it acts that way) and the individual water "splashes" will bounce off of each other like crazy. If you spawn a lot of them and confine them to a small space, they look sort of like radioactivity! So, what's going on here?

Re: OnCollide Water Spawning...
It was a change in the physics system, the SPH. values will change the old phun versions, which messed up with the newer water calculations and causes the bouncing water.
