Hi There,

I was just wondering if it is possible to import a vector object into a scene?

Or if not, is it possible to create type which reacts with an object? (rather then just bieng in a textbox)

Failing all of those, is it possilble to import an image into the background so that I can trace over it?

Thanks

you can apply a texture to an object within the scene, and trace over it, or if you're feeling daring, after you've applied the texture have Algodoo generate geometry from the texture. Algodoo's geometry generation algorithm seems to use the alpha layer to cut out the shape, and, in the absence of any alpha, uses majority border RGB color to cut out the shape

Oh wow, that sounds perfect to me!?

Would you by any chance be able to explain how it is done? Or point me in the direction of a tutorial for such tasks?

Thank you very much for your help!

it's all under the Appearance menu. you have to have a texture applied before you can generate geometry from the texture (for obvious reasons), and the option to do so will not be available until you have a texture, but after that it should be fairly explanatory. it's easier than I explained, just the options to make it are hidden until the texture is applied
