(HELP)major lag with new scene

hey i have major lag when i play algodoo. i have upgrade the video driver but it still lags. can some on help me?
i have a Nvidia Geforce GT540M 1GB anda i5 processor. and Windows 7.
i want to try to make a comeback after more then one year but it won't work if algodoo lags at a new scene, with nothingin it.
please help me!
PS. i play on the demo before i buy it.

how much stuff do you have in your scene before it goes laggy?

Sometimes uninstalling the downloaded drivers, and installing those on the disk can boost performance!

Try disabling shaders in the options menu.
