No Camera button?

I have Algodoo v2.0.0 RC1 and there is no button in Algodoo to use my webcam! How do I use my webcam with this new version of Algodoo??

I'm sorry, but you don't. We decided to discontinue that feature since it never really worked well for anyone, and only worked at all for a very few. I suggest using a third-party-app to grab a picture, and then simply drag-dropping it into Algodoo. I hope that's good enough!

oh... well can you at least add the feature in where it detects the edges of a picture and cuts it out by the touch of a button? cause I've been wanting that feature for a while.

That feature is already there, but it is only enabled for images with transparent regions. Getting it to work in the general case of let say an image taken against a white background is very hard, and I think will be more dissapointing than useful.

Acctually: scratch that - I'm workign on improving it now, maybe it will be good enough by the end of today...
