Change default savelocation
Hello!
I've tried to find any kind of a cfg-file to change the location where to save your algodoo projects per default without success, both in %programfiles%\algodoo and %mydocuments%\algodoo.
Is there any way to do this?
What i try to accomplish is, when i press on File > Save Scene, i want to point out "File name: H:\Algodoo\algodooproject.phz" automatically.
Thanks,
Johan

Re: Change default savelocation
I've found title under FileInfo, but that one seems to change dynamically, everytime you save and close...
Is there no way to make this one static?

Re: Change default savelocation
If this application is for childrens down to around 7-8 years old, why is it so non-user freindly? whats the purpose if i may ask?
The only way to save and load projects is to write the acctual url, its even hard for a normal-user in the age of 30-50, many teachers are in that age?
Is there any explaination why not a simple thing as a browser is added to Algodoo??

Re: Change default savelocation
We are aware of the problems and we are trying to make Algodoo more user friendly.
There is a beta release of Algodoo with scene sharing integrated that you can try if you want to test some of the new features that are coming.
The beta is, however, not yet stable enough for a live environment.
You can read more about the beta and download it here.
Some users have had problems with the interface, but we are working on a fix.
As for the default save location, it can not be changes as of now, but most school networks are configured so that the My Documents folder is located in the users own personal space (H:\).
This does, of course, not work for all environments and we will look into another solution, but we will probably not have the time to add it to the upcoming release of Algodoo.

Thanks for your response Emanuel.
It's atleast something you can add to the todo list.
I mean to change the default save location and also has the oppertunity to restrict or let it be open to edit the save location.

Re: Change default savelocation
If this were a suggestion, I would support it.
I have Algodoo installed to a USB drive, so I want My Documents\Algodoo to actually be B:\AlgoStuff\Algodoo.

Matthias Wandel is epic, in my humble opinion.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.
