Author name Changing

Okay so.. it was not me who did the buying part of phun, so I've got an problem. Now every scene I save it wants to save with the completely wrong name :/ its annoying to change it manually every time i save a scene. Any way to change the Author deafult from X => Y ?

open console ~
then type this: FileInfo.author = blah di blah

Yeah I wouldnt want to try that... it might lock it :/ and propably you cant unlock with same code..

Nope, but, I just changed it every time, it's just the same thing as from empty . Why is it so much more annoying to change it manually, it's what you always had to do .

Hope it works because its sometimes annoying {as I dont allways give an author name.. meaning my author will allways be my mum xD }

Same with me... I don't have a credit card so my Mom payed for it for me, and I'll pay her back with cash, but every time I try to save a scene/phunlet/etc it doesn't say Physicsguy, even through my Mom has never even touched Algodoo!

I support the changing in this.

Yes, it would be nice, although it could have been avoided by typing in the name you wanted to come up when you licenced it. The licence can be put in anyones name, it dosn't have to be the card holder.

But, that dosn't help if you already bought it!

Yeah but i got VERY confused as it said
- "If you are purchasing Algodoo for someone else than yourself, you can enter a different name and e-mail address that are to be used for unlocking Algodoo." AND it said also

- "The billing information should match the credit card used in the next step. "
Meaning... Those two go across each other, you can enter any name BUT the name must match the credit card... wtf?

Well, I don't think that it actualy did have to match, it didn't for me!

I found a way to change it. Simply use the registry.

There was a note above it that said if you were buying it for someone else, put their name into the field.

i didnt try in, i went through it and went back and through it again and thought there would be something later on that would allow me to change it, it only said billers information so i entered that :/

I found a way to change it. Simply use the registry.

tried that, but algodoo got unregistered. =S
