Algodoo does not start

Hi there.
I have just downloaded Algodoo Physics from the App Store but it will not start.
I see the app in my App Folder but when I click on it to start it brings it out to the Dock at the bottom of the screen and then it disappears. If I then try opening it again the Dock shows as if something is coming to open on the right of it but then stops and nothing further happens.
I am running a MacBook Pro With Mac OS X 10.6.8
2.66 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo

I downloaded the latest version of Algodoo which is 2.0.0.

Please help with patience as I am a new Mac user and am struggling to figure this thing out.

NEVER used a mac in my life, but some general all-os tips:

Is your OS up to date?

The latest beta has had a few crash-related bug fixes, but these may just be windows bugs...

it would also be useful to DEV's if you upload your logfile for algodoo...

I think this MAY be in the application support folder, but well... ive never had a mac....

Could you try our development version:
