+inf, what can you DO With it!

If you have problems installing or running Algodoo, have found a bug or need in-game help - this is it!

+inf, what can you DO With it!

Postby FuzzyLogicBrain » Sun Feb 20, 2011 12:51 am

so far, ive found that in the inetia multiplyer, it can stop something in the sim from rotating it, and if you change the angular velocity it stays that way, forever. and in the density department, it stops the object entirely. What NEXT?

in length it just self deletes, in dampening, its as is you set it to 0, and in everything else, it just denies.

Lasers? Hmm....... Open a new scene, put a laser, make fade distance and maxRays +inf. I want to see if this lags infinitely, but am too lazy to do it myself.

Also, try restitution. And put a tracer on it to see if it deletes.

Recently, I discovered something a lot of you probably already knew: Minecraft is awesome.
Due to this, I may not be as active as usual for a while.

It doesn't delete. It just bounces with infinite speed. Into a killer plane.

And how is auto-deletion distinguishable from hitting a killer plane with infinite speed?

Make the fast circle a killer or set its collideSet to 0 onCollide?

And did you try the laser thing?

And with spring length, did you rule out killer plane effects?

Okay. I tested a bunch of stuff. Infinite-length springs auto-delete even with sim paused,

Infinite restitution auto-deletes, not infinite speed,

Infinite fadeDist denies. Same for 3e+038, which is basically the largest number Algodoo will accept as less than infinite.

Yeah, I dunno if there is anything else +inf can do. Hmmm.... materialVelocity? *testing* Yup, autoDelete. Hmm...

What happens if you set the color of an object to [+inf, +inf, +inf, +inf]?
Negative infinity is even more fun. Actually, forget infinity, putting any negative number anywhere in algodoo is really interesting.
Also, my PC is finally ALIVE again (I did a system restore; it was down for the whole day), so I can finally update my RPG-game!
