I also have the same problem in my new laptop.
The graphics card seems to cause this problem.

Why is it the graphics card? And can it be fixed, cause this is a brand new computer with a great GC

I had this problem on Vista when I first got Algodoo. It went away after a while, but I don't know how. Maybe just wait for an update?

The thing with new computers running Vista and, especially, Windows 7, is that it doesn't matter that they have great graphics cards - because the default drivers suck. Which is why people like me get a lot of reports like "your software sucks on windows 7!".

Try updating your graphics drivers.

if you don't know what drivers to get then run dxdiag on your computer by pressing win+r, click save all information and attach it to a post on the topic and i or one of the other members might be able to advise you on the drivers you need.

It's software for your graphics card, free from the graphics card manufacturer. So if you have a nvidia graphics card, go download drivers from their homepage.

It's a real shame that there isn't a working automated system for this in Windows 6.x, IMNSHO.

BTW, i have another question, my computer has an Nvidia GC but also an Intel Graphics Accelerator.Whenever i play a game it says that the Intel chip is running and doesnt register the Nvidia one. Is the Nvidia running regardless, if not how can i enable it?
