Fixing Menu Problem on Linux
I had installed an earlier version of the trial, and played with it a bit.
Coming back to Algodoo weeks later, I found that when I started it on the
account that had previously run the demo, the menu was inaccessible
because it was way off to the right! No matter how wide I made the
window, only the File word was peeking out on the right hand side.
This made the app completely unusable.
After a while, I noticed that other accounts didn't have this problem.
I tried removing .algodoo.cfg - no change.
The nuclear option worked, though:
$ cd $HOME
$ mkdir old
$ mv * .* old
$ cp -a /etc/skel/.[bp]* .
So there was some file the app was reading that was blowing its little mind.
If I had more time, I'd narrow it down, but my son's coming back soon to
play Algodoo (it's his birthday present).
