How To Install on Ubuntu 10.04
On older versions of Ubuntu, Algodoo installs as described on the download page,
but with Ubuntu 10.04, three of the libraries that Algodoo uses are no longer
included. (They've been replaced with newer versions that are not compatible.)
Fortunately, you can still install the old libraries from Ubuntu 9.10 on an Ubuntu 10.04 system.

was the first place I saw this documented. For my own 32 bit system, the exact commands I used were
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/u ... 1_i386.deb
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/u ... 1_i386.deb
wget http://mirrors.kernel.org/ubuntu/pool/u ... 1_i386.deb
sudo dpkg -i libcvs*deb libhigh*deb
Doing those four commands before installing Algodoo made it work.
