Contests are checked before posting?

Heres my suggestion; when you submit a contest only mods can see it, then a mod checks it to see if its ok. Only when you get the go ahead other users can see it. Otherwise it is either deleted or users can't see or enter it.

Pros; Don't need post count restrictions
All contests will be to a high standard
New users will learn how to post contests correctly

Cons; Mods could be spammed with crappy contests.

This was suggested in another topic but yes, I think this could be awesome.. considdering all the bad contest called lately and also on phunland..
(I'd even voulenteer for becoming a spam-clearing mod.. )

yeah this is whats used in many other forums where if you want to make a topic you have to get mod approval on it first...

Well, I know its a distinct possibility, but as I spend around 7 hours a day on the forum.. I wouldnt mind actually DOING something too... instead of just waiting for a new post to appear..

It's OK. It's actually the expected reaction. It usually goes like this:
1)Child asks to be promoted.
2)I talk about psychological reasoning behind his request.
3)Child denies my claim.
4)I promptly tell him "Bullshit".
5)I get cussed out.


At least, that's what's happened with the last 5 or so people. So yeah, it's natural for a child of his age to respond like that, and by using my 5 step plan, I can reveal the immaturity of anyone that asks to be promoted, and therefore destroy any chance of it actually happening. The only variation being how many times step 3 and 4 are repeated. Luckily Sniperkasa unwillingly obliged perfectly. Silly children, always fall for it...
