SEPERATION OF FORUMS PETITION

We all have our varied reasons for liking the old forums better. Let's try to get the hint across to Algoryx before it's too late.

We have grown accustomed to these forums, some of us really treasure them.

Not to mention the VAST expanses of helpful tutorials that would need recreation.

I see no reason against a merging between the new forums and the old.

Hopefully it isn't too late.

How many helpful tutorials are there?

We will indeed listen to your suggestions and ideas about optimizing the forums!

The structure can be revamped, and we will probably work some on the layout too (and offer additional skins). The division between Algodoo and Algodoo Phun Edition in the forums was a difficult decision and maybe a bad one.

I think Phun and Algodoo should have their own sections that are built pretty much the same. When you go to the forum, you would have a choice of entering the Phun-specific section or Algodoo-specific section, but they share an off-topic section and Phunbox/doobox/algobox forum, and anything else that can function for both. Announcements should be shared. Maybe some other stuff too.

I would have liked to deleted my initial topic and made a new one, but sadly you can't delete posts.

Suggestions:
Remove the download link to Phun 5.28, as it defeats the purpose of an Algodoo demo

Then simply move the old forums into the new site, replacing the new forums.

Yeah well i dont know if Algoryx will move all of the Old forums over when they just spent this much time on this site and algodoo... just because we dont want to remake all the tutorials....
i mean im for it 1000% .... I just dont think they'll waste the time... Link Might.... hopefully

I believe they have most of the main tutorials in the "Tutorials" Link at the top of the page.

I see no reason why we can't just manually move the tutorials to the new forum. If everyone just moves their own tutorials they've made, then it wont be that much work.

If they are trying to sell algodoo, you don't think there are people out there who will settle for just having phun?

From a commercial standpoint, having phun out while the demo is out isn't a terribly good idea.

i agree with frank with the 2 sections.
i think for the tutorials there should be an index. split into sections e.g. automobiles .
i would create an index myself but i am currently at my nans and would not be able to come on everyday while im at my mums.
may be a wiki page?
or an account that trusted people would get access to edit it? ( user and password sent to them)
