Well, that ^ just sounds rude. I may not have joined until recently, but I have read the new and old forums thoroughly, so I am no completely ignorant... and since I plan to stay a member of the forum, I think that I ought to have some input on a decision such as this. Assuming that the higher-ups @ Algoryx pay attention to the opinions of the forum members when choosing mods.
And the thread that I was referencing was Chronos for president.
Emanuel WORKS at Algoryx. He's a paid employee. All employees that frequent the forums are automatically admins. The only people who have ever been appointed who weren't admins, however, were long time community members.
And how long is long enough? Okay, I've never looked at more than a few topics on the old forums... And does this mean that non-Algoryx-people can't be admins?
Or re you just confusing my brain with multiple meanings of the word "admin"?
The only people who have ever been promoted joined the old forums early 2008. I'm not exactly sure what their parameters are, but historically that's how it's been. The only legit MODERATOR(who wasn't an admin) that was ever made was Link0007, and he was promoted soon afterward. So technically, we've never really had any legit moderators, only admins.

I'd say Emil has a much better chance of showing up. He's been here a lot (for an admin anyway) lately.

Ah, but previous to the recent spike of Emil activity, Emanuel was considerately more active than Tatt or Emil. As JrvUnleashed might've pointed out in the first post in this topic.

Well I know that when I sent my petition to Emil is when we got Emanuel, and that took about two weeks. Since this is a bit harder than actually hiring someone (for all they know, we could all go power-hungry or pull a Zuriki, and they would only be able to ban us, which we can avoid), I expect it to take a bit longer.
I've noticed the spam has gone down though, so that may be why, too.

And I've been thinking...
I would thank that the Admin Department would at least tell us it they are working on something, such as selecting new mods. This, I think, is considerably more important than many other Admin Projects.
And I also randomly thought that we, the Normal Users, should hold an election amongst ourselves to recommend who might make a good mod.
