Ideas about Google wave
I moved this thing about Google wave here to keep the list of requested features thread more clean.
I should mention that we plan to start using Google Wave as soon as is possible, to be one of the first communities using this totally cool thing. I have always been a web tech fanatic. I made the first mysql-php implementation of all time and made Rasmus (PHP) and Monty (mySQL) talk to eachother (I think that was a bit of a success ...). Many years ago, I created something called the "Living Encyclopedia of Physics", which was part of the "Internet Pilot to Physics" website. This Encyclopedia was probably the first "wiki" on the web, but we never took it further. The whole project was acquired by the Institute of Physics Publishing, and I went back into physics again.
We think Google Wave will become important in all kinds of social networks, for computer games, and certainly for education too. And since Algodoo is a very interesting mix of all these things, it is the perfect case! So, stay tuned!

This video probably explains it best:
http://wave.google.com/
Wave is a way to integrate just about any kind of information and communication on the internet. If you want users and the community to take control over the Algodoo forums, then Wave is the way to go
We would be able to integrate chats, voice, video, forums, web pages, algobox, wiki pages, youtube, and everything else in many different ways. It would also be an interesting opening for integrating Algodoo itself with the web.

wow, that seems kinda awesome. i WOULD hope it got implemented, but then the xat chat (even though its unofficial) would vanish. but then again, voice chat and shoutboxes... i dont know how i could turn that down

Yeah a voice Chat would be Awesome..
And a requested Feature that WE ALL would like would be forum THEMES.
Or Custom THEMES.

Looking at Google Wave, it is something I think would benefit this community , Buggie certainly sounds like a good system, and so does collaborative editing , also, those with poor English skills will be able to use these forums .
I think you chose the right time to switch to Wave (if you switched in a year or two, people may have gotten used to this forum layout, and complain a lot, even if the modification made the system much better for the future ).

I don't have a mic hooked up to my internet computer, and anyway I don't really like voice chat, since I have a terrible voice. So i hope the Xat chat stays up.
