Thanks for your comments, wild bill.

I looked at your list of scenes, and I see that the last scene you posted was two years ago! You have made many really awesome scenes, and it would be great if you could find the time to make and post more scenes in the not-too-distant future.

You stay safe, too, Bill!

Later....
Unfortunately, buying or selling things on Algobox is against the rules.
Radio? :s That's crazy. It looks more like a television to me.
JohnG, of course he wants to be unbanned! Every kid who gets banned uses the same mantra: "I was banned for no reason!". It's the same when a teacher disciplines a child, or a parent grounds their son or daughter. The "no reason" claim always comes up. Probably 90% of the prisoners currently serving time for a vicious crime, claim that they are innocent. I guess it's human nature to not accept responsibility for one's own actions.

If I were to unban vito simply because he wants to be unbanned, then I would have to unban a hundred or so other kids who have been banned over the past few years. It ain't gonna happen. He knew what he did was wrong when I warned him, but he didn't listen or he just ignored my warning. So, now he must pay the price.

Yes, he knows. He also knows, even though I appreciated it, I had to delete it. :(
It's "the thing that im wanna made". What don't you understand about that, JohnG?
Yup... Starring Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor. I hate to admit it, but I used to watch that ridiculous sit-com. What does that have to do with anything?

Some of those TV shows from the early days of TV sit-coms would not be allowed by today's standards. For example, shows like: "All In The Family" and comedians like "Don Rickles" were very racist. Some of the things they got away with saying back then would be very disturbing and hurtful today. I'm glad that we as a society have grown up and for the most part respect other people who don't look exactly like we do.
How is this "lighting"? When I run the scene, it doesn't do anything. :s

UnityDogGaming04,

Just letting you know that the user JohnG has been permanently banned from Algobox for leaving a horrible and gruesome comment to you. I since deleted the comment, but I don't know if I caught it in time before you read it. I hope that you were not able to read the comment because it was quite hurtful. I will apologize on behalf of the entire Algodoo community if you read his comment and were emotionally hurt by it. He would probably say that he was "just joking" but we do not accept "joking" as an excuse for what was stated. It is just plain wrong and not acceptable to joke about such things.

Sincerely,

Xray, Algodoo Admin
UnityDoGaming04,

The comment was along those lines, and I would rather not send you a copy of it because it won't make the situation any better. It was simply something that he should not have said. I thought that he was smart enough and mature enough to not post such a comment, but I guess I was wrong. No one here knows you on a personal level, and because of that no one knows whether or not you have lost a sister or any other family member to disease or other tragedy. That's why the thing he said in his comment may have been especially hurtful to you if indeed you lost a family member. I'm sure that you would not have found his "joke" to be funny at all. He was being foolish and reckless when he made such a comment, and that's why I banned him.
Those of us who are pretty good at scripting were at one time "really bad" at scripting, just as you stated about yourself. Just like learning a new language or learning anything else, it's a process that takes time and effort. If you are smart enough to make really good scenes without scripting (and I see that you are!) then over time you should become really good at scripting.

If you are fairly good with math and general science, then you should have no problem learning scripting. If you happen to be terrible with math and Science, then scripting will be more difficult to learn and to use.

A starting place would be the "Thyme Scripting" topic in the Algodoo Forum. At the beginning of that topic, someone took the time and effort to document the basic commands, and many people posted many suggestions for using many of the commands. Also, a good way to learn how to do certain things is to download other people's scenes that do similar actions to what you are trying to do. For example, there are quite a few scenes with excavators, and so you can look at the scripting to see how they have done it. I know that it will be like trying to learn Chinese by reading a document written in Chinese! But give it a shot, and if you have a question I might be able to help you. I won't hold your hand and write all the code for you, but I will certainly answer your questions if I know the answers. If I don't know the answers then maybe I'll point you to a place or a person who could answer your questions.
Vinayak -- Thanks for the excellent explanation about how CoM works in Algodoo!
JohnG has been banned forever for posting a very hurtful comment to another user.

BTW, I try my best to find as many scenes and comments that violate the rules, but I'm only one person in an ocean of users, many of them new and ill-informed. So, I do occasionally miss a few. I do rely on people like yourself to bring to my attention rule violators that I may have missed. Thank you!

FYI, the user Phantom1o1 hasn't been active since November of last year, but I deleted his Signup scene. Thanks again.

TheInventor -- Would it be Okay for me to use one of your animated horses (a black one) in my own scene? I would appreciate it very much, and of course I would credit you for it.

Thanks in advance! :)

This is nothing but a box with some text in it. Why not hold off uploading unfinished bits of a computer each time that do nothing, but rather wait until you have a mostly operating computer that people can use and marvel at? Besides, a scene like this one borders violating one of the rules which states that we do not allow "announcement" scenes, which is basically what this scene is.
Wow! You must have spent many days making such a complex scene.
Are you really that lazy you weren't able to spend more than a minute or two to make a scene that people might actually enjoy viewing or playing? I hope that you didn't join us here on Algobox for no other reason than the fact that you are bored and want to waste our time downloading and viewing your childish nonsense. If that's what you want to do, then please do us a favor and go visit some other website to waste someone else's time instead of ours.
The problem is, this is not a "kit from scratch". It's nothing more than a box with some text in it. It has no functionality. You cannot compare it to a Raspberry Pi which (I think) has a complete computer system in it, even though it may not be programmed yet to do anything.

And your other scene in which you stuck a balance wheel on top of this text box, doesn't do anything either. It would help a great deal if you were to add some instructions that state 1. What it is. 2. What it does. 3. How to activate it and how to use it.
Please don't change anything that you don't agree with. I only make suggestions and recommendations, not requirements or orders.

After I played around with that balance wheel, I now understand what it's supposed to do. But for a while, it seemed like it was glued to the background because it was so static! I guess that it works so well that I thought it was broken! LOL
KiaanTheSonicPro -- Thank you! By the way, I already saw that scene that JohnG created. I allowed it to stay at the time but I probably should have deleted it. Well, it is now deleted, and so is JohnG. I banned him forever for making a hurtful and thoughtless comment to another user. Those kinds of comments are not allowed under any circumstances, and "It was just a joke" will not be accepted as an excuse.

Thanks again for your kind words! :)
I just thought that notice was posted long enough. Anyone can click on the "Rules" link above any page and read the entire set of rules at any time.
Cool animation! Good job!
so I got bored and posted this comment. You can do anything with it.

my first comment and have fun if you do
idk what this is. I think it's a comment, but not sure. ok I guess.
No one needs to "tell you the rules"! Just click on the "Rules" link at the top of any Algobox page. You can then read the rules for yourself. I suggest that you read the rules before you post any more scenes because I don't think you have read or understand the rules. Please take the time to read the rules because I really don't want to ban you again if I don't have to.

Idk what to call this..... WAIT! I think I'll call it a COMMENT! Yeah, that's perfect! It's a COMMENT!
C011E1ectr0 -- Thanks for your comments. I'm not sure when or if I will add more levels to this scene. I have to be in the right mood, and right now I am not in the right mood. Maybe down the road.

I posted a Robo Ping Pong game back in 2014. The players are so good that they almost never miss the ball, and so over time I began adding a "human factor" to it. Now it performs more like human players because they occasionally miss the ball or hit it out of bounds. Also, the paddles no longer move in unison which also helps to make it look more human. I haven't yet posted the updated version because I still need to work out a few kinks. Just some food for thought.
