It is not very strong, but it can be very small (this one has 0.35x0.25 mts). It's AWESOME at higher frequencies!
Just press S to start, and W to accelerate. it will give a small kick and start. If you want to see how it works, select the fan and move it to back

v2: Like 50 kg less (unnecessary)

DOUBLE! ---> Now it has TWO boxes, and double power (and double weight, but that's just fine)

Buena idea, parece un motor eléctrico. Al crear el circulo naranja parece que se trate de la accion de repeler de un iman y atraer acia otro iman.

As i know these engine are kinda powerful but don't give you more that 35rad/s

I know, Kilinich. I just wanted to make another engine types. I've made one that uses pistons without rods, they collide with a circle in the flywheel and act like a Scotch Yoke and make the flywheel move. I've got 450 Nm with 120 Kg at 100 Hz, same size than this (I know it's not much neither)
I think I'll add some more boxes (like one vertical) to give it more stable torque (and more!) This is like a 2 piston engine. It would be good for a motorcycle, and I think I can strip it some weight without losing performance.

vaidas, have you downloaded it? It gives 30 rad/s on idle, and like 75 rad/s accelerated

has anyone noticed that every scene after this one show "Algodoo before 1.8.5" in the "Made with" part? That's hell of a bug :blink:

This is a hella good piece of technology. But if there's one thing I've noticed, most eccentric (pun intended :lol:) engine designs, even in algodoo, never really get much use. I guess most people think a piston is simple enough.

But I really like this arrangement. I might try to build my own version.
