Scene tag

A 4 cylinder collison engine for a plane. Reaches a top speed of about 50 rad/s.

Controls:
Shift = Toggle Ignition
Enter = Starter
Up = Switch to High Throttle
Down = Switch to Low Throttle

It has an automatic anti-reverse engine brake that will activate when it is turning incorrectly. Delete the four green polygons to release the engine from the background (its not fixated anywhere, the green polygons just hold it in place).

Nice to see you got the stuck to the background problem solved:tup:
Good looking and working engine too;)
Most single row 4 stroke radial engines have odd numbers of cylinders
3,5,7,9 and very rare 11, that's the only way they CAN work:y
A single row 2 stroke radial as you have depicted here MUST have a separate
crankshaft driven positive displacement blower to introduce the fresh air
and fuel and force out the exhaust as the crank case volume remains constant.
All the old Detroit Diesel engines used this concept;)
Keep up the good work:tup:
I couldnt make this with an odd number of cylinders... The linkage I used only works with 4 cylinders. Using the rhomboidal linkage, I was able to get away with having only two connecting rods.
I noticed that, and inherently balanced
BUT...
This was originally going to be a cam engine, but once I made the cam, I noticed that Algodoo had a hard time calculating the collisions at such a high velocity plus, it was almost impossible to make a reliable timer.
This is just a collision engine... Lol. I will make a few radials though, but they will still be colliders. Im not ready to make multi-cylinder fuel engines yet XD
