This scene was inspired by many of the greatest algodooers out there. it's really just a tech demo, but it is pretty enjoyable as it is. It's testing a "3-D" parallax technology I saw somewhere, and updating it to work in the y axis as well. The result is very visually appealing. I will most definitely make something larger out of this :cool:

to play: right and left arrow keys to move, down to brake, w and s to aim the gun, and enter/return to fire. enjoy:coolgrin:

edits:
-huge graphical update!
-added Faytree's suggestion of adding edge blur to the parallax layers
-added some graphical updates and a Sabot-round when shooting
-added better targets and more scenery
-made the sand look better in foreground

try to add the edge blur effect on the scripted sand planes between 2.0 and 2.5 of edge blur,that will make the parallax effect even better!

@pebble I've not retired. I've just got other things consuming most of my time, but I'll always float around here until the site dies or I do, whichever comes first. I'll always be making things from time to time, just not as frequently as I once did.
