This is the easiest gear shifter I've done. Uses onKey and postStep events, and keys.isDown
It's hell fast at 60 Hz and works all the time except after starting the scene (press A and then it unjams)
you can change values like max and min gears in the green box, open script menu and change _maxGear and _minGear
Use A and Z, but you can change them in the script menu if you know how. :devil:
Please, rate this scene! If scenes don't get a vote the first day they are posted, most just get buried under marble race scenes. :lol:

Nice work. Elegant mechanical design and coding. The only thing I saw that I thought might be improved is the font. To me it looks crude and blurry. Set the font resolution to 50 px if you choose to sharpen it.

Thanks guys. You seem to know what I mean about marble races xD
I'm hoping that someone adds a "Marble Race" category between new and popular tabs (or an "AlgoMarbleBox") :lol:
And I'll sharpen the font if you want. it's just that I like the blocky appearance, and a console option for disabling that blur would be really nice

and restart Algodoo

Yep, that's the anti-aliasing control. When set to "true" the edges of text are slightly blurred, and when "false" they are sharp. It does not effect text resolution.

I try and look at Algodoo every day and its amazing how fast
the good stuff gets buried:(
