this is the final version of this star system, it was basicly just a test to se how things worked... and didn't:P
the system (planets, star, astreroids etc) is free to use as long as you give me the credit;) after all, i made everything 100% from scratch:P
anyway at the top of the screen there are names that will lead you to the different planets, they all have tracers i just set time to 0 sec.
just turn them on if you like that better:)
hope you like and enjoy it!:)

This is a good start, but I have a question and a suggestion.

1. I'm not an expert in cosmology, but it's my understanding that most of the planets in our solar system have elliptical orbits (not perfectly circular). So, I was wondering if/how you would address that?

2. As a suggestion, do not make your scenes at the extreme zoomed out value (100 meters). When you do that, then users cannot zoom out any further, which limits what they can view over their entire screen at one time. Better to make the scene at 10 meters or smaller so that users can zoom out.

Nice job so far!
A solar system IS based on attraction which is caused by the central star's and planets' gravity.

If there wasn't some kind of attraction the planets couldn't orbit. period.
to xray:

1. yes, just about all planets have elliptical orbits, i have made many of them in the past but they just dont seem to turn out right:P i have plans for making a system whith attraction and stuff but if i do then i wont get the nice shadows by the planets, hehe. thats why i made this, cool effects:D

2. i know, it irritates me to, but i also wantet to get big planets. the plan for this was to be a kind of space game where you could fly around the star system and collect resorces to save the home planet of some sort, thats why it is so big, but i understand now that i just could have put the planets closer together:P wont happen again!
to DualDesertEagle: if you dowload it and mark everything whith the box tool or something you will se what i mean whith non attraction based star system.
everything is mechanicly driven;)
Have in mind that maximum uploading scene size cant be bigger that 15 MB
I really like your project. But i found a moon but where the hell is earth?
15MB should be just fine:) and just for the record, this it not our solar system, just a random star system:)
