this is a model,of course not real size, of element number 10 on the periodic table of elements. Neon is quite intresting along with the periodic table. being a noble gas means all of "shells" are full with the maxamum amount of electrons. neon has an atomic mass of 20.18 so neon has 10 neutrons. When excited, neon enters a plasma state and glows red, does not happen on model. red are protons, gray are neutrons and blue are electrons.
