This engine took hours to make. it's completely useless but looks WAY good!
WARNING: You can get LAG because of the weirdly high amount of polygons on the scene. Your computer won't burn (unless it's overclocked  ) but I warn you!

Start with S and leave it alone. It's not acceleratable and it's only made for looks

Please tell me what should I do here. criticism appreciated!
Rate please!

v2: Killed some lag and added sim.frequency. works as hell
v2.5: Bettered valve action (thanks Gent!)
Credit to s_noonan for the Sprocket and Chain generator, and Kilinich for the GT-Pack

I can't find a car picture without an engine for this. It'll stay like this I think

may not be powerfull but looks great
good job linkage
9/10:tup:
Very nice job! But, there are two things I don't like about it.
1. The springs that you used as engine mounts (looks pretty lame).
2. The timing chain is very sloppy (I know that it's very difficult
to make tight/strong chains with Algodoo).

Except for those two issues, you did a fabulous job on the engine. It looks fantastic!
EPIC! :o
Runs a LOT better in 200Hz
It probably lags in 200Hz for most people though.

You're right, lethalsquirrel. Even the timing chains seem to be more stable at the higher sim freq. Good call!
epic!
nice engine
Yes, everything looks and runs great from the overall view down to the spark plug spark.
Whoops the circle upon the spark plug shouldn't be there xD
Xray: what should I put as mounts? I can make the chain better but it will give INSANE lag. The first chain has a 15 Nm brake on it, and when I tested it, my sim time went from 100 to 80. imagine all those hinges! Anyways i think I'll do it.
This is my best rating yet! I was planning to make this before, but I couldn't because of my old computer

Thanks all :D

What I would do is find a picture of a vehicle without an engine (search on Google Images), and mount your engine to the picture with either hinges and/or springs, and make the springs invisible. I think it would look really cool being shown mounted in a vehicle!
grear animated illustration of an engine work!
Very nice:tup:
The valve springs have way too much dampening and not enough tension
set dampening to 0 and constant to about 3000;)
Very good demonstration of this machine!
would like to contact you in the forum, my name is DrAgon there.

superb!
Again, thanks all for the rating. My highest rated scene had rating 7!
