This scene shows a common classroom setup that demonstrates how water can be broken apart into its two gas elements, Hydrogen and Oxygen.

Let the scene run for a while and within a few minutes you will see the two gases accumulating in the inverted test tubes.

Good except (3) things:
1. Electron flow is opposite conventional current flow.
2. The battery electrolyte is low and needs to be topped off.
3. The steel post is being pulled slightly by the magnetic field created from the current.

Looks good. I did this experiment many years ago. This is what I recall:
I used carbon rods extracted from some D-Size batteries as electrodes. I used a wall adapter in place of the battery. I mixed the hydrogen and oxygen gas and then ignited it. The gas was very explosive.
