thanks ostrichman, be sure to try the escape pod(Z key) if you get stuck in the cave(go to the far end of the cave and hit Z).

You had to make a destruction binded as Z... I use Ctrl + Z to undo stuff....

If you want you can change that. Theres a fixate on the thin ring that makes the glass bubble, I think its up high near the pilots head IIRC and you can set the destroy key from Z to whatever.
