Interesting that only one strut at a time is fully engaged.

I improved the smoothness slightly (less bouncy) by reducing the Restitution of all components to 0.10. Other than that, the scene works well, and the only other thing that would improve it aesthetically (IMHO) would be to add metallic textures to the components.

Thanks for the feedback. The device does not tolerate higher speeds well. The lower restitution helps somewhat. I traced the mechanism so it is not too accurate. Maybe if I made a super precision one from scratch it would work better. I don't think that's going to happen however.
