This game plays exactly the same as my earlier version with two exceptions. They are:

1. This game will only run properly with Algodoo version 2.1.0 b8 or later.

2. Instead of selecting squares with your keyboard number keypad, you select squares by clicking on them with your mouse.

Enjoy!

UPDATES:
1. Entire squares are now clickable (no need to click on the number)
2. You reset the game by clicking on a text box.
3. New exciting colors!
4. Clinically proven technology!
5. But wait! There's more!
6. Um.... no, not really.

Good job. Works well. Maybe make it work so you can click anywhere in the green square. Winbar may get in the way of clicking, but maybe you can make it small or off to the side and then resize or reposition it when there is a winner.

Yeah, the win bars do get in the way of the cursor, but I'm sure I'd be able to find a way around that if I wanted to spend more time on it. But I don't, so the scene will stay as designed. I want to move on to making other scenes!

You don't get off that easy. I have a few more suggestions:

1. Make a clickable reset button so that the scene is completely mouse driven.
2. Rename your scene TicTacToe so that the Algobox search utility can find it.

Yes, that 2nd suggestion is kind of lame, but if you search for "Tic Tac Toe" or "Tic-Tac-Toe" you get zero results.

I found other Tic Tac Toe games by searching Google images with "tic tac toe site:www.algodoo.com/algobox"

You're right about useing a title that people would most likely search on. I should start using tags too, which I never have in the past. I could place all possible spelling varieties of tic tac toe in the tags.

Those other games that you found were fairly well done, but my version is much better (IMHO). They are both two-player only games. That is, they do not use the computer as a player, which I believe is more desireable for most users.

Well, Okay..... you talked me into making some improvements to it! :rolleyes:

I'll see what I can do with it over the next couple of days.

I agree. Your version is much better. I can see that your code is a lot more involved than the other scene's code.

s_noonan -- Besides updating the scene, I also added some tags for the search engine. NOTE: tags must be greater than 3 letters, and a hyphen is not counted as a letter. Therefore, tic-tac-toe was not accepted as a valid tag. :mad:
