That precision is pretty amazing. I'd bet even the best engineers in real life couldn't make a device that can draw a straight line almost 3 meters long, and keep the precision within just a few microns! This scene may look simple to the casual observer, but I'm sure that a lot of thought went into it. Very nice job. I'm IMPRESSED! :tup: :tup: (that's TWO thumbs up!)
Thanks. I spent more time getting it to be accurate than to create it initially. One thing I did was edit the hinge locations manually in a .phn text file before creating the .phz file.
Good, The phun version (No motors) goes a little jiggy than yours. When I speed up the hinges, it goes all wrong.:s

I like that linkage, it is probably my favourite.
Thanks for the reminder how cool this linkage is. I just removed one motor which doubled it's travel and made it more accurate (apparently the two motors were fighting each other).
