this device outputs 1 for every 3 cycles of the input. I've built a rudimentary oscilloscope to easily observe this behavior. the logic is active-low, so it's counting down-pulses, not up-pulses. to be specific, for every 3 red down-pulses, there will be 1 aqua down-pulse that will hold down until the next down pulse, in a red red aqua red red aqua pattern

There's a little bit of overshoot on the leading edge of the red pulse, so you need to compensate your oscilloscope probe. (he he, just kidding!). NICE JOB on such a complex mechanical device! :tup: :tup:
it's not overshoot, it's transmission propagation delay:P, you'd get the same effect on a scope with a high enough bandwidth
