I have made a realistic spring engine for you guys. I tested it for stability for about 2 hours but I haven't tested it under load.

Controls:
Hold 1 to start starter.
Hit 2 while holding 1 to unlock motor stop.
Continue holding 1
After a few seconds release 1 and let run and feel free to do what ever.

Realistic.... hmmm..so what is realistic here? A spring moving a piston by infinitely long time without using fuel? I think that is a perpetuum mobile and it's not realistic.

Now you see, I don't have that type of skill. Making a successful spring engine that's stable and has high rpm's. I was basing the "realism" of the look, Much of my motors I make that are designed to look realistic are driven with hinges. And many people seem to hate that, though I only make them like that for looks. If your going to hate, go somewhere else. "Comment any suggestions or comment on what you think of it."
This isn't criticism on what you think of it, more of insulting.
