I love how you did the brakes as well. Unfortunately, the car jumped around a bit from the engine, and accelerating was jerky and sporadic. There wasn't any suspension either, which would have dulled the engine vibration. A good way to engage the clutch (in this case pressing the left key) would be to hinge a circle on top of the engine output and set the brake key to the move key. That means when you press the key that makes the hinge brake, the circle on top will start rotating.
