A very simple, stable, reliable, and un-explosive bow. There are no springs, no motors, no nothin' but the limbs and bowstring (well, rope I guess). What'cha see is what'cha get. The only thing that you can't see is the arrow stabilizer, which isn't very strong anyway. It's at the back of each arrow.

Instructions (as if you need them):

Grab an arrow.
Put it in between the two gray boxes on the bow.
Pull the arrow back until the arrowhead touches the limbs.
Release the arrow.

P.S. It's called a chain bow because it's not a long bow, a recurve bow, a crossbow, a compound bow...it's not any bow anybody's made a name for. So I named it Chainbow, because it uses algodoo chains (boxes/circles axled together).

UPDATE:

A new arrow called the Tri-Arrow has just been released!
All it is is an arrow, and an arrow, and an arrow, all stuck together!

NOTICE: The arrows that are loaded in the bows may not work, so if you have difficulty with the bows backfiring or exploding, be sure to carefully nock a different arrow, and gently pull back until the arrowhead touches the bow.

I made something like this a while back, but yours is about 10 times better!
Great usage of the new Algodoo functions.
Half The Time, It Explodes.1/4 Of The Time, It Backfires. The Other 1/4 Of The Time, It Fires Correctly:|.
Well for me, when I just unpause it with the pre-loaded arrow in, it backfires a bunch. But when I actually pull an arrow back and release, it works every time.

If you mean it explodes and backfires a bunch when you actually pull an arrow back and release, then it must be something to do with your computer or algodoo version, because it works perfectly fine 9/10 times for me.

Be aware that it was made using 1.9.9, not 1.9.8, so you'll have to use 1.9.9.

Also, it was designed to work at 100Hz, not 500Hz like allot of my scenes that need high accuracy.

If you're using 1.9.9, running the simulation at 100Hz, and you nock a new arrow and use that one instead of the pre-loaded arrow, and it STILL explodes and backfires, then I don't think I can help you. Maybe run it at 500Hz...I dunno...
Yay!!! It works Now!!!
This is good, very good. When I try to make a bow it never works._o_
Not all bows are 27 meters long<_< . It's easy to make insanely huge bows work, but try to make a 1 meter long realistic bow, which shoots the arrow at least 200 meters away. Here's my attempt:
http://www.algodoo.com/algobox/details.php?id=45062

My bow is somewhat 4 meters long, but it's not perfect either. Check it out!
I made a bow that is half a meter in length, a quarter meter in breadth and a millimeter in thickness. Actually, a bow (in Algodoo) could fire a million meters if you adjusted it right... and the arrows also matter... so yeah.
