Oh you know I had to do it , right?
If you are going to test something TEST it :lol:

It just amazes me that the ballistics in the sim are accurate and repeateable enough to dial in this shot, much less that the weapon
repeats spot on

F to fire , fire immediatly after sim start for best shot
The aim is insainly touchy at this range

1100 hz works best for me, your results may vary have fun
and I hope you are patient and have a fast comp

Well, at 1100 hz, my computer was slow enough that I could actually read the distance to target-- ~2% realtime.
:lol: yea its not fast.
Even a super computer that would run it at 100% real time it would still take over
10 seconds to get there:bonk:
I believe the rules say slider values and no loopholing tho?

This exact weapon is in second place in the contest I just did the long range shot for fun;)
@NilsMolinder,

You imply that Gent exceeded slider values and loopholed, but I don't see it. Maybe you should be more specific. For example, the guy in first place, Raydeg, has not posted his scene in the forum and his weapon is hinged to the background which, I think, would violate the recoil rule. Also, contests in general don't appear to be too strict, and rules may change or be disregarded at the whim of the contest creator. I've seen the loophole rule in a number of contests and I think it is a bunch of crap. My interpretation of the loophole rule is "Don't be too creative and use the full capability of Algodoo, but instead use only a subset of the functions that reside only in my (the contest creator's) head."

By the way, I haven't joined the contest yet, because I can't compete with the great scenes already submitted.
Nils, What nonslider value did you find?
I was the first entry and havnt done anything fundamentaly different since
so apparently the contest creator doesnt think I have exploited any
"loopholes" :angel:
