Encoder generates quadrature signal that is decoded in software. Decoding script is in one of the lasers. Lasers are separated by a distance = 1/4 the grating period.

Nice job! :tup: I worked with many different types of absolute and incremental linear and rotary encoders during the years while working for industrial equipment manufacturing companies. I enjoyed that work very much.:)

How it's working? How it is possible in algodoo that show a dynamic numbers for encoder?
