Yet another tank, I built this around The Wumpo's Pneumatic Like Tired Suspension Vehicle (not sure what to call it, just using his title). You can see his scene here [scene]22249[/scene] . Controls are left, right arrows to move, down arrow to stop.



Changes and improvements to the suspension
-Adjusted spring strength and dampening to account for heavier tank
-added Pegs at the end of all rods to make sure they wouldn't pop out
-added a stopper to keep the swing arm suspension from flipping out
-Perhaps some other stuff I don't remember

The suspension is now pretty reliable, it's next to impossible to break or bottom out. If you want to test it their is a mushroom shaped block at the end of the course, lift the tank up and drop it on the mushroom, I don't think I have ever broken it that way. The only way to really break the tank is if the track get stuck to something and keep pulling. If they ever get stuck, just pause the scene and pull them out of whatever they are stuck to.



Things you can do to make it better
-fine tune the springs, I'm not to good at this so I'l leave it to someone more capable
-Fix the wobble in the track, all you need to do is replace the small hinges with bigger hinges (not to big though, keep them smaller then the tracks), I just don't want to bother
-Build a tank body, as it is this is just a bare bones set of tracks and suspension, somebody could build a nice body for this thing and make it look much better
-Adjust the suspension for the new body
-Change the motor speed using a gear ratio of 1.1923 (round to 1.2), I have it set pretty high at 100 RPM on the larger gears
-build a better course, I'm not much good at it.
