The animation of a permanently rotating wheel was the inspiration for this model on website http://www.orffyre.com/speculation.html, dealing with the work of Charles Elias Bessler (Orffyreus). The wheel is another variation on the first example. Even in the ideal case the wheel does not add more energy than it received during animation. If all parts are completely flexible, they will oscillate and thus will slow down the movement of the wheel.
